10) Lots of action with disturbing theatrical scenes.

11) Interesting story line will make you wonder.

12) OMG! ~ SO GOOD!

That is if you like fast paced action that makes you cheer, gasp, clap, and speak out loud all while experiencing a range of emotions from sad & devastated to happy & proud and still all the while feeling disturbed & thoroughly pissed off!

If you like your heroes tough (good girl, way to go Ruth!), if you like badass, hot and hunky heroes & smart, tough AND pretty woman, then clear this Friday and see OLYMPUS HAS FALLEN.

Think Bruce Willis / Die Hard meets Daniel Craig /007 Bond meets Jamie Foxx / Django. Think war movie meets 911 tragedies – that’s the aspect that evoked unbelieving gasps and comments from the audience and connected you to your neighbors (in the seats around you). That’s the aspect that made you want to cheer for a hero who was about kicking much tail and taking no prisoners.

Daniel Craig

Was it a little over the top? Well, yes, of course! But it is after all just a movie people, designed to entertain us and we were entertained and we loved it!

As we were verbally polled while exiting the theater, I heard not one negative response nor from the chatter of the crowd.

If I had to say anything toward a weakness, I think we all would have liked (or maybe just me) our leadership to have been portrayed stronger and less like deer in headlights. But, of course, at the end of the day, they made mostly good decisions.  Also, there would have been no need for a badass, hunky hero otherwise!

Beyond that, one of my early thoughts was ~ OMG, please don’t give them any more ideas!

Some scenes were really difficult to watch. Let’s hope that nothing like that could really happen (scary stuff) and that it doesn’t really take that long (see the movie) to get to the White House.

DO IT ANYWAY

By Mother Teresa

~~Reportedly written on a wall in her home for children in Calcutta, India.~~

People are often unreasonable, irrational, and self-centered.

FORGIVE THEM ANYWAY

If you are kind, people may accuse you of selfish, ulterior motives.

BE KIND ANYWAY

If you are successful, you will win some unfaithful friends and some genuine enemies.

SUCCEED ANYWAY

If you are honest and sincere people may deceive you.

BE HONEST AND SINCERE ANYWAY

What you spent years creating, others could destroy overnight.

CREATE ANYWAY

If you find serenity and happiness, some may be jealous.

BE HAPPY ANYWAY

The good you do today, will often be forgotten.

DO GOOD ANYWAY

Give the best you have, and it will never be enough.

GIVE YOUR BEST ANYWAY

In the final analysis, it is between you and God.

IT WAS NEVER BETWEEN YOU AND THEM ANYWAY

5 ways to increase happiness by Chery Lundenberg

A Reblog ~

Hey Guys -

Check out Chery Lundenberg’s “5 Ways to Increase Happiness” Post

5 ways to increase happiness

1.  The Big “O” – Oxytocin: This is the hormone of trust and “love.” It is a natural calming and feel good chemical. It connects and bonds people together and when released will evoke feelings of contentment, reductions in anxiety, and feelings of calmness and security. Simply touching, hugging, and interacting with loved ones can release Oxytocin and enhance intimacy.

2.  Get Moving and Exercise: A proven way to enhance mood is to stay active and exercise. We have to move to be happy. Even a brisk walk can do wonders for our outlook and daily mood. When adults have around 30 minutes of moderately intense physical activity per day it has been shown to be an important factor in not only physical health, but psychological well-being as well.

3.  Breathe Well: An often overlooked source of calm and health is deep breathing. Our breath is always with us and can be used as an anchor to relax our mind and body. Becoming mindful of our breath can be a tool to manage stress and anxiety in any context. Start taking deeper, longer breaths to get more oxygen flowing through your brain.

4.  Gratitude: We all have ups and downs each day, though when we focus on and what we still have and what is going well our mood will be enhanced. Start appreciating what you have and be thankful for the relationships, skills, and opportunities that you have been blessed with. To help you do so, keep a gratitude journal or write a letter of gratitude to someone who has helped you but hasn’t been thanked yet.

5.  Meditation: Many many late researches in brain science shows that a daily practice of meditation increases creativity, intuition, health (by lowering blood pressure and slow breathing) and happiness. It also makes one become calm, laugh a lot, Love and naturally look at the positive side of everything. All those things are seen as major brain changes that are taking place in the time of practicing.

LOVE All.

While looking for a particular MLK quote for my Twitter page -

“The ultimate measure of a man is not where he stands in moments of comfort and convenience, but where he stands at times of challenge and controversy.”

by Martin Luther King Jr.,

I happened upon the following article and decided to share  (a little sideways of this blog but hey, it’s Sunday!) -

I was driving through South Florida a couple of years ago, headed toward a resort island where I planned to meet my family. I’d just spent a week in a seminar and I wanted to do some laundry before I got to the island, but I was unfamiliar with the cities through which the highway passed.
